The hotel itself was fantastic. The staff were friendly, both upon check in and when I called to discuss my booking. The facilities were great, there was everything you needed in the room; you were also given access to all of the sauna and swim facilities, sadly the purpose of our trip didn’t allow for this - but will definitely keep this in mind when we book again. The best part for us was the location - we were attending a gig in the pavilions and it was quite literally on the doorstep!

It's a very nice hotel with friendly staff and good facilities. The bar was a nice place to hang out. The location is ideal for quick access to the town centre. Parking was easy and on site, which was appreciated. The cooked breakfast was of good quality with lots of options. The room service fries were nice. I wish I had packed some swimming kit to use the pool.

Had a slight delay in arriving to the hotel but when I called to inform them they had no problem with me arriving late as the reception at the hotel is covered 24 hours. When I did arrive I was greeted with a kind and welcoming smile and was asked how my evening had been which after having a rocky start to the evening was great to hear. From the hotel was a short walk to the ceremony venue and only a 15 minute walk to the reception venue which was amazing as was helping to take photos of the wedding. The hotel is right near the city centre and is only a twenty minute walk from the train station.

I loved that the rooms still had some original older features rather than ultra modern. The bathroom facilities were modernised and exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfy. I loved the characteristics like slightly uneven flooring and old windows which made me really feel the history of the place. The walls were thick and I heard hardly any noise apart from within my room.

The room was large and airy and the large double bed and pillows very comfortable. Good shower. Parking was available for a fee. The staff all very pleasant and helpful. Pool is good but you have to pick your times for a swim. The general cleanliness is very good considering the age of the hotel. Breakfast good and ensured GF/DF option request.

I always stay in this hotel, when I visit Plymouth. Someone can walk from the train station down to the hotel within 20 minutes. The check in and check out was very quick, my room was very warm with a spa bath, four poster bed, tea/coffee/milk and kettle were in the room, soap/shampoo were in the bathroom. The room was clean and the hallways, public areas were well kept. I had a wonderful cook breakfast with green tea and a with Danish. All the staff in the hotel are warm and friendly, always showing kindness. Louse is a wonderful person on the front desk in reception, she is a polite, caring young lady, though I do feel the hotel is very lucky to have a special person working there. You can always tell when a company is good, because they have a low turn around of staff, thus, I have been staying to the same hotel for many years, with most of the time the same staff greet me.

I arrived very late, (after midnight), and the receptionist was friendly and efficient. I went up to the room, which was a nice size, very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable, room temperature was perfect and it was quiet and peaceful. There was a kettle and some tea and coffee available in the room too. The shower was fabulous! Excellent water pressure... almost felt like a massage. I would definitely book this hotel again

room was very comfortable, good shower didn't have to fiddle about with the controls toswitch on or get temperature.the breakfast was superb freshly cooked and very quick service

Bargain rate. Nice central location - I was travelling back from Spain & arrived late needing easy early access to work the following morning. So my stay was very short. But the interaction I had with staff with very positive & breakfast was also more than adequate. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

The atmosphere and service were welcoming. The hotel looked great and my room was spacious even though it was a single room. For a big place, I could sense the family-owned vibe through the staff. Very nicely decorated. I enjoyed a fabulous meal in the brasserie and the parking was good value.
