New Continental Hotel; Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

The location is very good for visiting The Hoe and the town centre. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Safe feeling area. The room was clean and comfortable. Car parking for the length of your stay for £7.50 each day. Nice bar and good selection of drinks on offer. The pool is small but ok for a quick dip.

The hotel itself was fantastic. The staff were friendly, both upon check in and when I called to discuss my booking. The facilities were great, there was everything you needed in the room; you were also given access to all of the sauna and swim facilities, sadly the purpose of our trip didn’t allow for this - but will definitely keep this in mind when we book again. The best part for us was the location - we were attending a gig in the pavilions and it was quite literally on the doorstep!

Had a slight delay in arriving to the hotel but when I called to inform them they had no problem with me arriving late as the reception at the hotel is covered 24 hours. When I did arrive I was greeted with a kind and welcoming smile and was asked how my evening had been which after having a rocky start to the evening was great to hear. From the hotel was a short walk to the ceremony venue and only a 15 minute walk to the reception venue which was amazing as was helping to take photos of the wedding. The hotel is right near the city centre and is only a twenty minute walk from the train station.

The room was large and airy and the large double bed and pillows very comfortable. Good shower. Parking was available for a fee. The staff all very pleasant and helpful. Pool is good but you have to pick your times for a swim. The general cleanliness is very good considering the age of the hotel. Breakfast good and ensured GF/DF option request.

I always stay in this hotel, when I visit Plymouth. Someone can walk from the train station down to the hotel within 20 minutes. The check in and check out was very quick, my room was very warm with a spa bath, four poster bed, tea/coffee/milk and kettle were in the room, soap/shampoo were in the bathroom. The room was clean and the hallways, public areas were well kept. I had a wonderful cook breakfast with green tea and a with Danish. All the staff in the hotel are warm and friendly, always showing kindness. Louse is a wonderful person on the front desk in reception, she is a polite, caring young lady, though I do feel the hotel is very lucky to have a special person working there. You can always tell when a company is good, because they have a low turn around of staff, thus, I have been staying to the same hotel for many years, with most of the time the same staff greet me.
